Q: When will the bowl game be played?
A: The game will be televised nationally in late December—just in time to kick off the bowl season. Stay tuned for more updates.
Q: What kind of teams might meet in this bowl game?
A: In the past two years, the Big East has seen Pittsburgh and Louisville go 6-6 and not make bowls. On the C-USA side, expect a seven-win team, such as Memphis and Southern Miss this past season.
Q: How can I get tickets, and what will they cost?
A: Tickets will cost $30. Fans can put their name on a list by calling toll-free 1-800-325-2910. Tickets go on sale this summer (through Ticketmaster). Tropicana Field can seat 44,000 for a football game. Tickets are also included in all TradeWinds Bowl Packages.
Q: Where will they put a football field at Tropicana Field?
A: The field will be in the home plate corner of the stadium, extending down the first-base line into right field.
Q: How often will we see USF and Central Florida play in St. Petersburg?
A: Occasionally—but not against each other. When either finishes out of the top three or four in its league, St. Petersburg would be a potential bowl destination.
Q: Are there any events on the beach?
A: Yes, beach events for fans and teams will be scheduled in mid-December. They will be open to the public.
Q: Where can I stay in St. Petersburg, FL?
A: The TradeWinds Beach Resorts is the official beach resort. They will be also be hosting three fun filled days of events with the Team Beach Bash, Beach Bowl Challenge, and Battle of the Bands Pep Rally!
